February 15th-21st, 2026 celebrates GO-GO music history and DC culture.
The 6th Annual Keep the Beat Week recognizes the sixth anniversary of the bill signing that led GO-GO to become the Official Music of the District of Columbia.
Roll Call Vol. 3: Live @ Howard Theater
DC Public Library, Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment along with the Department of Parks and Recreation present Roll Call Vol. 3: Live at the Howard Theatre celebrating 50 Years of Go Go and in celebration of the 6th anniversary of the Go-Go Legislation in Washington, D.C.
Performing live will be Mature Clientele Band, Sirius Company featuring Scooby DaGodSon, Push Play featuring D. Floyd and DC Vybe featuring D. Holmes along with DJRemii, and host, Poet Taylor from WPGC 95.5 FM!
This event is FREE. Admission is first-come, first-served while capacity permits. RSVP does not guarantee entry. Seating will be available on first-come, first-seated basis. Food will be available for purchase on-site.

Art to Go-Go offers the community an opportunity to explore murals around Ward 8. The initiative connects local artists with Go-Go legends to transform Anacostia’s scooter corrals into public art.

The Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, DC Creative Affairs Office and 202Creates worked with critically acclaimed storyteller, Robert Young, for a Public Art Activation in Ward 5. The 51 words in the mural symbolize the importance of statehood for Washington, DC.
Mayor Bowser Signs Bill Go-Go Music Bill Signing
On February 19, 2019, Mayor Muriel Bowser signed the Go-Go bill making Go-Go the official music of Washington, DC! Watch the historic bill signing which was held at Culture House.
