Care for Creatives is a partnership between the DC Creative Affairs Office and the George Washington University, Community Counseling Services Center (CCSC) to provide pay-what-you-can mental health services to area creatives. Click HERE to learn more!

Welcome to the District of Columbia’s Creative Affairs Office (CAO)! As a part of the Office of Cable, Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment, all of our work is done with a commitment to improve diversity, equity, and access for all within the creative community. The CAO team is here for you working on POLICY, legislative awareness, and regulation to support the work of creative businesses. CAO is establishing infrastructure PARTNERSHIPS to support the mental health of our creative community, and provide space for creatives to work and build community. CAO is also building PROGRAMS to improve the economic mobility of the District’s creative entrepreneurs. 38th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards

 The Mayor’s Arts Awards is an inclusive celebration for District residents of all 8 Wards honoring the city’s vibrant creative community and patrons of the arts and humanities. The 38th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards was held on September 28th, 2023 at the Capital Turnaround. The night featured unforgettable performances, shoutouts, and awards which were presented in 14 diverse categories.
